Day 1: Bangalore – Mysore (140Kms/3hrs)
- You will be met on arrival at Bangalore airport and introduced to your driver.
- Depart immediately to Mysore to spend your Holidays in South India, check in to your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
- Overnight stay at Sandesh The Prince / Windflower.
Day 2: Mysore sightseeing
- A full day city tour Mysore including the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill, the vegetable and flower markets famous for South India Holidays packages.
- You can also visit Srirangapatna and Somnathpur.
- Overnight stay at Sandesh The Prince/Windflower.
Day 3: Mysore – Nagarahole
- Depart Mysore after breakfast and head towards Nagarahole National park, the home of tigers, leopards, elephants and over 250 species of birds.
- Have your lunch and make your first safari into the park in the afternoon during your South India holidays.
- Overnight stay at The Serai / Orange County Resort.
Day 4: Nagarahole
- A full day at Nagarahole with morning and afternoon safaris into the park.
- Overnight stay at The Serai / Orange County Resort.
Day 5: Nagarahole – Ooty
- After a final safari at dawn, return to the resort for a breakfast and then depart for Ooty.
- Ooty popularly known as Queen of Hills, is a famous hill station in the Nilgiri Hills. The Nilgiri hills are well known for tea production.
- Overnight stay at King’s Cliff / Taj Savoy.
Day 6: Ooty – Palakkad
- Next day of your trip to South India holidays, check out of your hotel after breakfast and go to the railway station to board the toy train.
- Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery while traveling from Ooty to Coonoor.
- Your driver with the car will meet you at Coonoor and continue your drive to Palakkad where you can walk in the fields, bird watch or enjoy the company of Mr. Bhagwan Das and his family.
- Overnight at Kandath Tharavad.
Day 7: Palakkad – Cochin
- After breakfast drive to Cochin and visit the synagogue, Dutch Palace, St Francis’ Church and the spice market. In the evening watch the Kathakali dance performance show.
- Overnight stay at Hotel Arches/Tower House.
Day 8: Cochin – Periyar
- Today, experience the boat cruise from Alleppey to Kumarakom in Holidays to South India.
- Then drive to Periyar wildlife sanctuary in the cardamom hills.
- Overnight Stay at Tree Top / Spice Village.
Day 9: Periyar
- You will have the full day to enjoy the natural environment of Periyar by taking a guided nature walk. This is an interpretive programme offering opportunity to watch birds and wildlife.
- Later visit a local tribal village.
- Overnight stay at Tree Top / Spice Village.
Day 10: Periyar – Madurai
- Descend from Periyar hills and drive to Madurai.
- On arrival at Madurai, check in to your hotel and later visit Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum and Meenakshi Amman Temple.
- Overnight stay at Madurai in GRT Regency / Heritage Madurai.
Day 11: Madurai – Karaikudi
- Post breakfast drive to Chettinad Region, which is the home to the Nattukottai Chettiars, a banking and merchant sub-caste who, over several centuries, made their fortunes trading with empires to the east and west.
- This is a superb place to explore the large village at a relaxed pace. Chettinad cuisine is sought after around the world and you will enjoy the traditional dinner at this property.
- Overnight stay at The Bangala / Chettinadu Mansion.
Day 12: Karaikudi – Trichy
- This day of your holidays in South India drive to Trichy. Here you can visit Rockfort Temple, the Bazaar and the Srirangam Temple.
- Overnight stay at Trichy in Breeze Residency / Hotel Sangam.
Day 13: Trichy – Tanjore
- This morning travel to Tanjore and visit Brihadeeswara Temple, one of the magnificent Chola Temples, the Art Gallery located in Tanjore Palace and the Saraswati Mahal Library which is the home for ancient palm leaf manuscripts.
- Overnight stay in Tanjore at Ideal River View / Hotel Sangam.
Day 14: Tanjore – Pondicherry via Darasuram, Gangaikonda Cholapuram and Chidambaram
- After breakfast drive to Pondicherry to celebrate your holidays.
- Enroute you can visit the UNESCO temples Darasuram and Gangaikonda Cholapuram and the Chidambaram Temple in South India.
- Pondicherry is a former French colony and you can take a stroll along the seafront promenade.
- Overnight stay at Villa Helena / Calve.
Day 15: Pondicherry – Mahabalipuram
- Today visit Aurobindo Ashram and continue to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram is famous for its ancient temples and the rock carvings created during the 7th Century by the Pallava King Narasimhavarman.
- Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram at Ideal Beach Resort / Chariot Beach Resort.
Day 16: Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Chennai departure
- In the morning, drive to Kanchipuram and visit Kailasanatha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vaikunta Perumal Temple dedicated to Vishnu.
- Kanchipuram is also famous for Silk weaving.
- Later in the afternoon proceed to Chennai Airport for your onward journey.
